Hosted Fly Fishing Trips
Colorado Trip
This year Ben Turpin Custom Rod Building and Guide Service is offering a hosted trip to Colorado to fly fish the blue ribbon waters of the Colorado, Eagle and Yampa rivers. We’ll be staying at Luarks Cottonwood Cabin, a working ranch with access to 2 miles of the Colorado River and all the accommodations of home within a double haul of the river. The trip includes lodging, all meals, one float trip per person on the Colorado or Eagle River, and assistance on the local rivers. Don Baylor and I will be your hosts on these wild trout rivers where we will find brown and rainbow trout that are often measured in pounds not inches.
In past seasons up to ¾ of the trout have been caught on dry flies with hatches of Western Green Drakes, Blue Winged Olives, and Pale Morning Duns being common in the end of July. When the hatches are sparse attractor patterns such as Stimulators, Wulffs, and Parachute Adams often take fish along with your standard selection of nymphs. Join Don and I for a week of excellent fishing from July 11th to July 16th and experience the best that Colorado has to offer.

Central PA Trips
We are now scheduling hosted trips for those who are looking forward to exploring the fertile streams of Central, PA in 2010. Come fly fish the famous limestone streams in the Centre County area while staying at Centre Mills Bed and Breakfast. Enjoy the experience of match the hatch fly fishing on Spring, Penns and Fishing Creeks as well as the Little Juniata River for wild trout. We look forward to good hatches of Hendricksons, Grannom Caddis, Sulphurs, March Browns & Green Drakes. Please call or email A.S.A.P. to reserve the best dates to be on the water. Room availability determines the days and the number of fishermen who can be accommodated.
